Have u ever listened to the birds?
I listen to the birds talking in the mornings. There is always a boss bird and he chirps and carrys on. It seems to me that boss bird is telling all the other birds what to do for that day. Please listen in the morning. There is always a leader bird instructing the other birds.
Dinosaurs: birds or reptiles?
I personally think they're more bird like than like reptiles. I'm just wondering from people who've actually READ INTO IT or actually studies it. I've just read into it, I'm no professional. Just curious as to what people think .
Can anyone identify this bird?
i posted a question earlier, several people wanted a photo, so here is a video, in four parts.the first question,answers.yahoo.com question index ylt AoCEyzs Ota XAo813lK5 nsy6IX ylv 3?qid 20090702182639AAg7oXEthe videos. first video just looks like a blob, it is just the angle, you will see more detail later in the video.last video is in night vision.youtube.com watch?v UqwqXgM KM0youtube.com watch?v yzXz0HUlLUyoutube.com watch?v 7DWJcFkm t8youtube.com watch?v 8G6i0acqFj4and please tell me they they are not a mating pair.they might be young, but not still under moms care. they were flying earlier.i will get a video during the day, when they are flying and screaming.now it makes sense. they do not leave when i open the window because they are not old enough to fly more then a short distance.the screaming from the birds outside the window would be the parents.i must have had a nest somewhere, they just hatched.
We were given a bird feeder, put it up and are now,?
enjoying helping out the birds, a neighbor has told me before Autumn we should quit feeding the birds so when it is their time to fly south for the winter, they will know , not to stay around for the free food, does anyone know for sure if this is correct ? It does make sense, what do You think ? Thank you, and do enjoy the rest of Summer

Can any one identify this bird?
i am have a problem with birds in my porch that will not leave, when i go out there, they scream, then birds out side scream.can you identify the birds? can you tell me why they wont leave the porch ? why do the outside birds scream?it has been suggested the bird in the porch is too young to fly away and mom is the one outside screaming. but, in the last video, you will see where two were roosting last night. when i posted the video of the roosting, i was told it was a nest, but in this video i do not see anything that would suggest it was a nest, like debris.here are the videos, sound is included, maybe you can identify by the screaming.i suggest you turn the volume down, in the second video the outside ones get loud, even louder when i open the window.youtube.com watch?v LRum2NiaQSM i know it looks like " duh, just open the window, it is trying to leave" but when i open one of those large windows, it does not leave. it will only fly into glass, screens, ladders, buckets, walls. not through open windows youtube.com watch?v aymLsFUuOi4youtube.com watch?v Nzp93JwT0g0youtube.com watch?v Rnf1 OBQdEsyoutube.com watch?v zvGZvPKT7ewyoutube.com watch?v RTktTmHlmIhere are the other questions, if you need more info.answers.yahoo.com question index ylt AqIAmQfSuAz.Sr7HGUVGvdvty6IX ylv 3?qid 20090702182639AAg7oXEanswers.yahoo.com question index ylt AoCEyzs Ota XAo813lK5 nty6IX ylv 3?qid 20090702220244AALb2yfthis is in Connecticut, USA.birdgirl if i knew it was a nest, i would not be asking.i do not see a nest, i see a roost. in the video where i film the bush and the tree, that is through the open window. the windows the bird flies into are hinged at the top and swing open from the bottom, then clip to the ceiling. the opening is about 4' x 2 '. i have left it open all day and the birds will not leave.I have had as many as 6 flying around in that porch on two different occasions. i know i posted this before, which is why i linked to the other questions.i am fully aware of a momma bird staying near the nest until her babies can fly. i have never seen a bird that will not leave, and a mom that wont come in to take care of the bird.i do not believe the nest is in the porch, i think the bird may have gotten stuck there somehow after leaving his nest. I would like to get him out, figure out how he got in, and seal the entrance.to do this, i need to learn why the birds are acting this way

Why did the Birds attack in Hitchcock's, "The Birds?"?
I know it's based on the fact that some weird bird attacks do actually exist like one or two , but does that mean there was no actual explination?I've watched it a couple of times now and I can't believe such a famous movie and director wouldn't explain anything I thought it might have something to do with Melanie or the love birds but apparently not....
